Flexa Compartment Pressure Testing - Not Currently Available
PLEASE NOTE: Compartment Pressure Testing is
not available at Flexa Clinic during Craig Panther's absence.
This modality is extremely helpful in differentiating chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS) from other causes of chronic lower leg pain.
Testing is carried out by Dr Craig Panther using the Stryker Intercompartmental Monitoring System™.
This involves a small catheter inserted under local anaesthetic into the compartment to be examined. Pressure is measured at baseline and the patient exercises to the point of symptom onset. Pressure measurement is repeated while symptoms persist and at 5 minutes after cessation of activity.
The fee is $285.00 for non-ACC cases and $253.00 if an ACC claim has been accepted.
